I am a Christian, a Husband and Father, and an Optometrist. Originally from Jacksonville, FL, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree and my Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1992 from the UAB School of Optometry in Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated in the top ten percent of my class and received the Bernell Award for Excellence in Treating Children’s Vision Disorders. After passing both National and State Board Exams, I practiced for many years in Bardstown, Kentucky where I diagnosed and treated vision disorders, eye disease, and provided low vision services. I have served as the Low Vision Examiner for area Veterans at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville and provided services through the Kentucky Vision Project.
